Michelle Myers

NOTE:  Michelle will be back in the area soon!  She will be back in August.  The first week of August she will be pickig up a mustang to participate in an upcomingExtreme Mustang Makeover.  She will be accpeting reservations for horse training after that.  She also has plans to get a group of people together who want to be involved in learning to train their own horses in a series of ongoing clinics.

Horse Training

Starting Young Horses or Restarting Older Horses.

"Ask your horse, request, then tell. Always ask first - the clearer you make you request the easier it is for the horse to respond correctly. Firm but polite helps establish you as the leader. Rewards come in many forms, treats are fun to give, but only after the horse has earned them."

Owner participation is highly encouraged during the training process.  Michelle wants you to understand her methods along with helping you to understand how and what your horse is learning.

Michelle's goal is to put a nice foundation on a horse so you may do any type of riding you would like - English (pleasure, dressage, jumping), Western (pleasure, reining, gaming), and Trail Riding.

Training fees - $600/month, including full care board.  Colt starting and some problem solving situations require 2 months minimum.  Lessons are also available and may be required for problem solving to ensure the owner will not allow the horse to fall back into old habits.

Michelle is currently participating in the Norco Mustang Extreme Trail Challenge.  Michelle has a blog so everyone can monitor her progress with the mustang (along with some of her other training hints for horse owners).
