Taz - 8yr old arab mustang gelding - $3500

Taz (Tazmanian Devil) is a 8 year old gelding . His dam is a mustang from Twin Peaks HMA. She is intelligent and has definitely passed that on to Taz. His sire is a registered arab who performs well in endurance. We expect great things from Taz - he has the bone and mind of his mom yet the refinement and fire of his dad. His mom has completed in LD endurance and Competitive Trail rides, been used as a lesson horse and is learning to jump. Taz has done one 25 mile endurance ride - and he was forward but not agressively so, camped perfectly and ate and drank beautifully.

Taz is located near Canon City, CO.  He gets along well with other horses and is over 15.3H with solid legs, large feet and is well put together. Taz will be a fantastic mountain trail horse or endurance horse, he will never get you lost - he lets you know when you try to take a different forkon a return ride! He is calm enough to make a good hunting or ranch horse as well, but he has enjoyed moving out and jumping a little bit too.

Taz would do best with an experienced male rider I think, although I have done most of his riding and I'm only 5'3".  He is strong and opinionated and he does know his own strength, but once you tell him what to do, he listens and doesn't argue.  He goes well in a bosal hackamore.

Here is a short video of Taz being mounted, walking and trotting (it's too much work to get him to canter in the arena!)
