Silk is a very sweet solid black registered Paint mare, Lady Bar Silk, reg # 88439.  She is very calm and loves attention.  She has had a lot of despooking work done and she is ready for light saddle training.  She is well conformed and definitely an eye-catcher being solid black - she has Sonny Dee Bar breeding.  She turned 3 on July 7.

Silk is currently about 14.1H and should mature to 14.3 or so.

Silk will probably make a great kids horse for 4H or trail or showing.  She doesn't mind plastic bags flapping around her and is very willing to be trained.  She would also be a good first training project for someone with a solid riding and finishing background.  She has had weight on her back and didn't even flinch. UPDATE - I've ridden her around the round pen and she's doing great.

Silk is available as is for $800 or $1200 with a month of saddle training with light riding.  You won't find many horses this sweet and willing.  She also looks like she'll be a pretty smooth ride.  This horse will make a perfect first training project for an experience teenager looking to get some training experience.  Also a great investment as her value will go up substantially with training.
