Horse Finding Services
Looking for your next horse, or maybe your first horse? Or maybe your horse-crazy child has convinced you she must have a horse and you don`t know where to begin?
We would be happy to help you on your journey toward purchasing a horse. We can:
- Show you horses we or clients have for sale at our barn
- Provide you with some resources to begin a search for prospects on your own
- Look at information you or we find to determine if a horse merits further investigation
- Travel with you to inspect a prospect (there would be a fee depending upon time spent)
- Advise you if the horse should be inspected by a vet or equine appraiser
- For those of you new to horse ownership, we would be very happy to spend time helping you determine what you are looking for, how much horse ownership will cost you per month, and get you set up with appropriate instruction.
Most of these services are free. We want to see people get off on the right foot to horse ownership and we like to see the right horse with the right owner. Our favorite saying is "Green and green make black and blue!" In other words, we do not recommend a novice horse owner purchase a young, untrained horse unless they have sufficient mentoring and support structure. Whether you get training and lessons from us or someone else, your safety is paramount to your long term enjoyment of horses.
