Full care board is $200/month. $25 extra for stallions. Our stalls in the main barn are large - 14x15. There are runs off each stall, either 40` or 30` long. The barn is open and airy, horses can see and play with each other. We also have a limited number of large paddocks with run-in sheds, suitable for 1-3 horses that also have direct pasture turnout. There are also 4 special stalls available for $225-250/month for foaling mares and horses on stall rest. We have built some new sheds and runs - 16x12 with 50` runs and 12x12 with 70` runs.
Full care board includes hay (grass, alfalfa or mix up to 12 pounds per feeding), heated water in the winter, stall bedding and facilities usage. We clean stalls 2-3 times/day and check horses several times a day. Water tubs are scrubbed every 2-3 days and water usage is monitored. We have Purina grain products on hand - Strategy, Equine Senior, Equine Junior and Horsemans Edge and is provided in whatever amount your horse requires for $10/pound/day per month beyond the first pound which is included. Ie, if your horse gets 2 pounds of grain per day, the grain charge is $10/month.
Turnout is available on a fee basis to either the round pens, arenas or front pastures. Turnout can be done individually or with another horse to encourage playing and exercise - whatever works best for your horse. We also offer blanketing and grooming services as needed.
We have a separate hay barn to keep dust off the hay. Our feed room is heated and insulated. We feed beet pulp to some horses so avoiding temperature extremes is a must. All grains are kept in sealed barrels and we usually have room for any special feed or additives your horse requires. We are happy to feed anything additional that you provide for your horse at no extra cost.
Caring for your horse is our first priority! We require Coggins and health certificate for horses coming from out of state or from another boarding facility. Horses also must be up to date on shots. Our services also include holding horses for the vet or farrier (just let us know in advance), emergency blanketing service if you cannot make it out (otherwise we do provide regular blanketing services for a small fee, and short term wound care in most cases.
We have an on-site farrier for barefoot trims (and can train you to maintain your horse`s feet as well) and can also recommend several great farriers in the area for shoeing and specialized work. We also offer free saddle fitting sessions to boarders and their horses. Our goal is to keep your horse healthy and comfortable at all times!
