The CVHA is dedicated to providing fun, educational and affordable horse show opportunities here in Colorado.  Our series is geared towards fostering good sportsmanship and great horsemanship.  Our shows might be considered "schooling-type" shows, but we feel that we have so much more to offer than that!  Class fees are ONLY $5!! There is never an office fee or haul-in fee.  Riding academies and saddle clubs are not only welcome, but encouraged to participate!  All classes are designed for riders of all ability levels, and all disciplines.  English and Western will compete together in the same class.

The classs that we offer include:

• SHOWMANSHIP                       (Youth and Open)
• LEADLINE                               (Youth)
• WALK-TROT                           (Youth and Open)
• PATTERN CLASS                      (Open)  ...this class is very similar to a reining or horsemanship class, riders will exhibit at all gaits, will also be asked to stop and back up.
  
• COUNTRY PLEASURE               (Open)....This class is similar to Ranch Pleasure, riders will execute two simple obstacles, and exhibit at all gaits.
  
• TRAIL OBSTACLE                    (Youth and Open)... This is your basic trail class, riders will execute multiple obstacles, will exhibit at walk and trot. 

Champion and Reserve Champion awards are given in both Youth and Open Divisions for each show.  High Point Awards are also given at the Year End Finals, which is our final show in October.  Participants must compete in at least four of our six shows in order to be eligible for Year End Awards.

CVHA also sponsors a FREE "Show Preparation Clinic" on March 16th at 6:00 pm at Los Piños Equestrian Center.  This is a clinic designed for those who want to enter the world of Horse Shows for the first time, or anyone who may want a refresher.
