Add a splash of color to your breeding program!
Click here for Max`s latest baby! We are expecting our first 2009 baby in May.
HAAP Ibn Farrago (Max) is a gorgous bay sabino arab stallion. He has 4 white stockings, a striking blaze and full mane and tail.
Max is 14.2, but has full sisters at 15H and has thrown larger offspring. He has large cannons and feet and a good mind. He has plenty of trail experience and has begun an endurance career that will continue here at Los Pinos.
Max`s breeding is mostly CMK, with a little Egyptian, Polish and Spanish thrown in. For those interested in the sabino color trait, but don`t want to risk breeding 2 overo paints, the sabino gene has not been shown to be related to the Overo Lethal White Syndrome. Visit EquineColor.com for more information.
He is a gentleman with mares and easy to handle - he hasn`t even required a chain while breeding. He is calm even with a mare in heat stabled one run away from him.
Max has thrown several extreme sabinos and some moderates as well. Check out some of his foals below, and more can be seen at the link to Elements Arabians below.
Here is a neat website - it helps you make a guess at the color of offspring from a particular stallion and mare. Max is homozygous for Agouti.
Breeding can be arranged via live cover or AI. His semen has shipped well or we do have facilities to safely care for your mare while breeding.
Breeding is $600 to arab mares or $400 to non-arabs, LFG. For a short time, one of our mares, Venesza, is available for sale with a free breeding to Max. See the horses for sale page for more information.
Max stood previously at Elements Arabians. Visit the website to learn more about their Sabino Breeding program. And please feel free to email or call 719-784-1177 to discuss making Max a part of your breeding program.
